Peyton Manning at stadium, ready to help Brock Osweiler
DENVER – Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning entered Authentic Ty Sambrailo Jersey Sports Authority Field at Mile High on Sunday to the roar of the crowd -- at least from the fans clustered around the players’ entrance to the stadium. But he also entered with a walking cast on his left foot and, as expected, will not play against the New England Patriots. Manning will miss, at minimum, two games as he deals with a partially torn plantar fascia. Manning arrived roughly two hours before Sunday night’s kickoff and is expected to watch the game from the sideline, one of the team areas near the locker room or in the coaches’ booth. But the 18-year veteran has participated in meetings all week, has been on the practice field at times and did whatever he could to help Brock Osweiler prepare for his second career start. Because the decision to put Manning’s injured foot in a walking cast was made last Monday, after Manning visited Dr. Robert Anderson in Charlotte, N.C., Manning did not receive treatment this past week. It allowed Manning more time to spend in Youth Jon Ryan Jersey the offensive meetings with Osweiler and the other quarterbacks. As Osweiler put it this week: “Peyton’s been great to me, he was in meetings, he’s been talking me through his past experiences going against the Patriots and whatnot. He was out here at practice helping me out, asking me questions. Peyton’s been a great teammate and obviously I love having him around, it’s a great brain to pick." The Broncos signed Christian Ponder this past week for depth, but Ponder, who arrived Wednesday, was a game-day inactive Sunday night. Rookie Trevor Siemian was the team’s backup against the Patriots. On Manning’s potential return this season, Broncos coach Gary Kubiak said: “Absolutely, he’s doing everything he can to come back." Kubiak also added this week: “The injury is http://www.nflcowboysofficial.com/Authentic-Lael-Collins-Jersey frustrating for him, but his frame of mind is good right now and the fact that this is what I’m doing and the fact that (the cast) is going to come off, go back to work, it should help me. He has a clear understanding of where we’re trying to go next."
