Didier Drogba: Chelsea hold talks with Montreal Impact over striker

http://www.seahawksofficialnflonline.com/WOMENS_YOUTH_CHRISTINE_MICHAEL_JERSEY.html Chelsea are in talks with Major League Soccer franchise Montreal Impact over the future of striker Didier Drogba. Montreal say Drogba has expressed a "desire to help" his old club. "We understand his attachment, but our objective is to have him back for another season," Montreal tweeted. Drogba, 37, who signed for Montreal in July, watched Chelsea's win over Sunderland on Saturday with interim manager Guus Hiddink and owner Roman Abramovich. Hiddink on Wednesday refused to be drawn on whether Drogba would join his backroom staff. "I worked with him five or six years ago and I was delighted to have such a professional in the squad," the Dutchman said. "He's a legend already in this club. The only thing is at the moment is that he's playing in Montreal. Derrick Coleman Authentic Jersey "The official process I don't know but I spoke openly from the bottom of my heart that huge impact players can be key for the club." The Ivorian spent nine years at Stamford Bridge in two spells, first representing the club between 2004 and 2012 before rejoining them last season. Montreal say it was agreed in Drogba's contract that he would have a second season in Canada. http://www.seahawksofficialnflonline.com/WOMENS_YOUTH_DOUG_BALDWIN_JERSEY.html "We are doing everything we can to have him back with the Impact in 2016," the club said. "We are willing to accommodate him. This situation is out of our control." Defending Premier League champions Chelsea have endured a terrible start to the season, losing nine of their 17 games to slip to 15th, and last week sacked manager Jose Mourinho.

Ron Rivera: Panthers losing bats as ploy, denies gay slurs used

http://www.officialcoltsnflstore.com/vontae-davis-jersey_c-392.html CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Carolina Panthers coach Ron Rivera said he will no longer allow his team to bring baseball bats onto the field before games and denied reports that his players directed homophobic slurs at New York Giants star Odell Beckham Jr. before Sunday's contest. Rivera called reports that at least one of his players made a homophobic slur toward Beckham before Sunday's game "somebody's attempt at spin control.'' Rivera said the same thing about reports that Beckham felt threatened by a baseball bat Carolina players had during pregame warm-ups as an excuse for why the star receiver lost his composure and got three personal fouls in his battle against cornerback Josh Norman. Patrick Willis Kids Jersey The league suspended Beckham for one game on Monday. Beckham's appeal will be heard Wednesday by James Thrash, sources told ESPN's Chris Mortensen. Beckham will attend the hearing at the league's office, a source said, and a decision is expected quickly after the hearing concludes. Nevertheless, Rivera said his players no longer will use the bat as a motivational symbol as the Panthers (14-0) chase a perfect regular-season record. "Because I'll hear it if I don't [end it],'' Rivera said Tuesday. "That's the truth of the matter. I'm going to end up hearing it, so to avoid the set of circumstances let's just eliminate it. That's what we're going to do. "[The NFL], it's the 'No Fun League' for a reason.'' http://www.buccaneersnflofficialauthentic.com/michael-koenen-jersey_c-318.html In a memo responding to the Panthers carrying bats onto the field to use as motivation, NFL executive vice president of football operations Troy Vincent reminded teams "that no foreign objects unrelated to the uniform or playing equipment are permitted on the playing field and sidelines on game day (which includes the pregame period, during the game, and postgame on the field).

Drew Brees hopes to finish season despite torn plantar fascia

Brock Vereen Womens Jersey New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has a torn plantar fascia in his right foot, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Ed Werder. Despite the injury, Brees hopes to continue playing in the Saints' final two games of the regular season, the source said, but the injury complicates his ability to throw because he throws off that right foot. According to the source, an MRI was sent to Dr. Robert Anderson, the Charlotte specialist who treated Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning for a similar injury. Manning has missed the past five games with his partially torn plantar fascia. Former Saints tight end Jimmy Graham never missed a game in 2013 when he had a partially torn plantar fascia. However, Graham had the luxury of a bye week to recover, and his snaps were significantly limited when he did return. Doug Flutie Authentic Jersey Anderson has not yet made a recommendation to Brees, who is believed to be considering several different treatment protocols, the source said. Brees was hurt during the second quarter of Monday night's 35-27 loss to the Detroit Lions. He appeared to step awkwardly on the foot while escaping pressure from defensive end Ezekiel Ansah on a third-down incompletion. He landed awkwardly and appeared to come up limping. Brees was taped up on the sideline and returned to play some of his best football -- throwing three second-half touchdown passes during a futile comeback attempt. Still, he was noticeably hobbled by the injury. http://www.nflbrownsofficialshop.com/Authentic-Josh-Mccown-Jersey The Saints have a short week of preparation before their next game. Brees plans to aggressively treat the injury and hopes to play this Sunday at home against the Jaguars, the source said, but he is expected to be listed as day-to-day. If Brees can't play, the Saints will have to decide whether to start veteran backup Matt Flynn or rookie Garrett Grayson.

Steven Jackson says he has become Patriots running back

Christian Kirksey Authentic Jersey FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -- Veteran running back Steven Jackson announced via his Twitter account Monday that he is joining the New England Patriots. The Patriots have been ravaged by injuries, including to running backs Dion Lewis and LeGarrette Blount. On Monday, Jackson, who hasn't played this season after spending the last two years with the Falcons, posted a picture of himself from the back on Twitter, accompanied by the words, ''I'm back'' - his first tweet since September. Anthony Dixon Womens Jersey Later, his Twitter page called him a ''New England Patriots running back.'' No announcement was made by the team, which isn't required to do so until the contract is official. Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels was with St. Louis when Jackson was the top runner in 2011. http://www.steelersnflofficialprostore.com/AUTHENTIC+DEANGELO+WILLIAMS+JERSEY Jackson, 32, ran for 1,250 yards and 12 touchdowns, and had 53 catches for the Falcons the past two seasons. He had eight straight 1,000-yard seasons with the Rams.

Pickups of the Week: C-Mike, Karlos and other familiar adds

http://www.seahawksofficialnflonline.com/WOMENS_YOUTH_CORTEZ_KENNEDY_JERSEY.html Each week, we identify six players to target on fantasy waiver wires, plus a lightly owned team defense. These fantasy assets are all available in a majority of Yahoo leagues. Add as needed. Christine Michael, RB, Seattle Seahawks, 9% owned Yup, we're really doing this again. All those other times you added Christine Michael to fantasy rosters (only to drop him the following week after a four-carry performance) were preparation for THIS MOMENT, right now, in which we find C-Mike on the threshold of fantasy domination. It's all happening, C-Mike zealots! This time, it's different. This time, he cannot miss. THE NFL'S CHRISTINE MICHAEL ERA IS AT LAST UPON US, AND WOE UNTO THOSE WHO... Um ... ahem. OK, maybe that's a bit strong. Steven Hauschka Kids Jersey Clearly, C-Mike can miss — in fact, he's never not missed. He's visited the rosters of three different teams this season (Seattle, Dallas, Washington). But you'll note that it was Michael, not Bryce Brown, who led all Seattle backs in touches on Sunday, carrying the ball 16 times for 84 yards (5.3 YPC) against Cleveland. Next week, the Seahawks at home facing a St. Louis defense that happens to have allowed a remarkable 1128 scrimmage yards to opposing RBs over its last six games (188 YPG). We still have no reliable ETA for the recovering Marshawn Lynch (abdomen), which leaves Michael's name atop Seattle's backfield depth chart. His setup is excellent in Championship Week, and his new/old teammates certainly seem pleased with him... C-Mike is a ludicrously talented athlete — check the combine performance in case you'd forgotten — and he's in line for a significant workload a vulnerable D. Add as needed. Or add simply to keep him away from an opponent. FAAB bid: Spend it all, every dollar. You can't take it into next year. Kirk Cousins, QB, Washington, 23% http://www.seahawksofficialnflonline.com/WOMENS_YOUTH_SHAUN_ALEXANDER_JERSEY.html To be clear, no one is trying to tell you that Cousins has transformed himself into a no-doubt, must-start fantasy asset, or that he's a flawless passer. The man has thrown 11 picks this year and fumbled eight times; it's not as if every week is a guaranteed quarterback clinic. However, we should recognize the fact that Cousins has completed over 70 percent of his throws in six of his last eight games, tossing only three interceptions during that stretch. He was masterful in the win over Buffalo on Sunday, completing 22 of 28 attempts for 319 yards (11.4 Y/A) and four touchdowns. Cousins also added a TD as a rusher, his third score on the ground in four games. Next week, he faces a Philadelphia D that has allowed multi-touchdown performances to such fantasy luminaries as Matt Cassel, Ryan Tannehill, Matthew Stafford and Jameis Winston. It wouldn't be much of a surprise if Cousins delivered another top-10 (top-5?) positional finish in the season's most important fantasy week.

Jose Mourinho: Chelsea fans show love for former manager

http://www.steelersnflofficialprostore.com/AUTHENTIC+SENQUEZ+GOLSON+JERSEY Jose Mourinho may have left Chelsea after his sacking on Thursday - but the fall-out from his dismissal was littered all over Stamford Bridge during Saturday's 3-1 win against Sunderland. Chelsea's miraculously improved performance was met with scorn and abuse from large sections of their own support, the finger being pointed firmly in the direction of players who they felt had downed tools and effectively forced Mourinho out. The sudden upturn was described as "disgraceful" by BBC Sport pundits Mark Lawrenson and Chris Sutton, while Cesc Fabregas and Diego Costa felt the full force of the fury of their own fans, who clearly felt the club's players had been instrumental in Mourinho's demise. Are Chelsea's fans right to blame the players? Andre Reed Elite Jersey Make no mistake - there was a toxic atmosphere inside Stamford Bridge and it was almost impossible to find anyone who blamed Mourinho for the dreadful performances that left Chelsea in 16th place, one point off the relegation places, before kick-off. The first real show of support for Mourinho came in the shape of a banner draped from the Matthew Harding Stand - which was still fluttering after the final whistle - that read: "Jose Mourinho: Simply The Best". The true strength of pro-Mourinho feeling was revealed before kick-off when the names of Fabregas and Costa were read out and loud jeers swept around Stamford Bridge - repeated when the pair were substituted in the second half. And, perhaps even more remarkably, each Chelsea goal was greeted with chants for Mourinho as much as a celebration, the second from Pedro met with a pointed and poisonous chant demanding to know why these same players had suddenly lifted their levels. It is a very fair question given a run of four home defeats in eight Premier League games before Saturday. Mourinho was supported with chants and banners, many making further accusations against the players. Kenny Britt Authentic Jersey One read: "The 3 rats. Hazard, Cesc and Costa". Another was emblazoned with the words "30 Pieces Of Silver Judas. The Players v Jose, One Of Us" and "Our Jose". This was all played out under the gaze and within earshot of the man who made that sacrifice, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, sitting next to club legend Didier Drogba on a visit back to Stamford Bridge, and newly appointed interim boss Guus Hiddink, who must calm this mutinous atmosphere having taken charge until the end of the season. The better Chelsea looked, with Oscar seemingly rejuvenated and even Branislav Ivanovic looking more like his old self, the more the discontent grew in a surreal first half. When the chant "Stand Up For The Special One" started up it was hard to see a Chelsea fan not on their feet. The love aimed at their former manager was that strong. The suspicion that Chelsea's players were suddenly finding their old form now Mourinho was out of the door did not help the mood. Steve Holland, in charge until Hiddink takes over, said: "Obviously the supporters have a right to express their opinion but clearly the fans had a view on certain things and it is their right to do that. http://www.nflchiefsofficialshop.com/AUTHENTIC+CAIRO+SANTOS+JERSEY "I'm sure if the players play and compete like they did on Saturday then I don't see any reason why the supporters won't be happy with that." Set against the desperate fare served up this season, this much-improved performance meant many Chelsea fans had every right to ask where they were when they were not so good, to clean up the actual chant, and whether it really was player power (or lack of it on the pitch) that brought Mourinho down.

European football: Barca lose count, Massimo's pint, Seville-war

Youth Shane Ray Jersey It has been another eventful weekend of European football, with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez inspiring Barcelona to a third Club World Cup title. Closer to home, Real Madrid put 10 past Rayo Vallecano, and Bayern Munich and Paris St Germain enter their winter breaks with commanding leads in their respective domestic leagues. But what else might you have missed across Europe? BBC Sport has rounded up the best of the action. Speaking of the reigning European champions' 3-0 win over their South American counterparts River Plate in Yokohama, the Spaniards' claim of equalling Ahly's record of 20 international titles has been questioned by the Egyptian club. Showing a keen eye for historical detail, and a clear love of red tape, a statement from the Cairo club said: "Barcelona counted three unregistered titles to their list, as the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup was out of Uefa's observation when it was launched. "It was launched in 1955 and then it was cancelled in 1971. Uefa said before that they don't count Inter-Cities Fairs Cups in their sheets as it wasn't under their observation during that time." Womens Kyle Williams Jersey Before Sunday's game, Barcelona had posted on their official website: "The Club World Cup in Japan presents us with the opportunity to draw level with the most successful club in the world in terms of international titles, as Egypt's Ahly have won 20 continental titles in Africa." In the absence of an official ruling from Fifa, who clearly have more important issues to deal with right now, how about the clubs play-off to settle their differences? Perhaps then the winners will be justified in calling themselves the best in the world. Maccarone gets straight to the pint Middlesbrough supporters who were driven to drink by the erratic displays of Massimo Maccarone during his five-year spell at the Riverside Stadium can be forgiven for thinking the story has come full circle. If anything is deserving of a mid-match beer, scoring twice in the space of six minutes is probably it. Darian Stewart Kids Jersey That's exactly what the veteran forward did for Empoli in a 3-2 victory over Bologna, celebrating his feat by running to the stands for a cheeky gulp with a couple of mates. After inspiring a club record fourth consecutive Serie A victory to put his side up to sixth, the 36-year-old former Italy international explained: "They were my friends in the stands. "They came to visit and we decided to have a beer together. They are Bologna fans, but friendship goes beyond football. "I didn't go back for another sip after the second goal because I didn't want to fail a doping test for excessive alcohol! http://www.officialbroncosnflauthentic.com/WOMENS_YOUTH_EMMANUEL_SANDERS_JERSEY.html "Empoli deserve everything we're achieving right now. Our fans are fantastic and stay close even during difficult moments, so it's only right they get to celebrate the good times."

Player arrests down in NFL as Rice still lives 'nightmare'

Washington (AFP) - NFL player arrests and http://www.nflcowboysofficial.com/Authentic-Corey-White-Jersey citations beyond speeding tickets are at their lowest for any year since 2000, according to newspaper databases tracking those figures, after a revised personal-conduct policy. Only 35 NFL players have run afoul of the law in 2015, according to USA Today and the San Diego Union-Tribune, and just two since the NFL season began in September. That's less than half the 71 players from 2006 and below the lows of 39 from 2000 and 2004. "We're encouraged by this progress but understand we have more work to do," NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy told USA Today. "It is a positive reflection on the players and our educational, preventative and deterrence programs." Changes came in the wake of former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice knocking out his future wife, Janay, in an Atlantic City casino elevator, the video of which became a sports news staple and led to Rice being dropped and unsigned by any team in the NFL although many could use a talented, rested and experienced 29-year-old rusher. "I went to a real dark place," Rice said Bud Dupree Super Bowl Jersey on the Dan Patrick radio show Thursday, calling it a "nightmare." "We had been drinking. It was a long night. It just was one of those situations... I'm a better man than that. It was the worst decision of my life." Rice said he mentors in New Jersey but wants to return to the NFL, saying he sensed there might be a chance earlier in the season but as the campaign has run to its final weeks, he sees less chance. "You feel ashamed, you feel embarrassed. There were people out there that took a different approach, like I was a different person. It gave me hope," Rice said. Rice's fate might also have provided NFL players with an object lesson about what will not be tolerated. "My wife and I still have to live the http://www.billsofficialonlineshop.com/AUTHENTIC+CORBIN+BRYANT+JERSEY rest of our life. In February, we'll be two years removed from the incident. It feels like yesterday."

NFL against the spread picks: Can the Giants pull the upset?

The New York Giants upset seems too http://www.seahawksofficialnflonline.com/WOMENS_YOUTH_CHRISTINE_MICHAEL_JERSEY.html easy to pick. The Carolina Panthers come to New Jersey to play the Giants at 13-0, and NJ.com said that of the first seven teams in the Super Bowl era to start 13-0, four lost in Week 15. The 2009 New Orleans Saints lost in Week 16, and the 1972 Miami Dolphins and 2007 New England Patriots finished the regular season undefeated. The Panthers are the eighth 13-0 team in this era. And the Giants have won in this exact spot before. They knocked off the 13-0 1998 Denver Broncos in Week 15 at the Meadowlands. All the players and coaches are different from those teams obviously, but we have seen it before so it's easier to imagine again. On our weekly NFL preview Grandstanding Cortez Kennedy Womens Jersey podcast, my colleagues Jay Busbee and Kevin Kaduk both picked the Giants as their upset of the week. And I thought about it too (go to the 23-minute mark for our upset picks): It seems like an obvious pick, but I'm not so sure. The Giants are 6-7, but have been plagued by some late-game collapses (and some bad luck there) and at their best they can be pretty good. The problem is consistency, and their worst performances are truly awful. They're tough to predict. There has been either apathy or disrespect toward the Panthers most of the season. Those who have paid much attention just do so to explain why the Panthers aren't that good, or why Cam Newton shouldn't win MVP. I assume a lot of people figure this is the week the Panthers get derailed. I don't believe that's fair, because Carolina has been very good this season and probably deserve more respect than they've gotten. Earl Thomas III Youth Jersey I think the Giants at plus-5 on the betting line is the right pick. This feels like it'll be a close game either way. But I'm not willing to pick the upset straight up. And if the Panthers win, all that's between them and 16-0 is a road game at the Atlanta Falcons and a home game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This seems to be the last real test on the way to a perfect regular season. Here are the Week 15 against-the-spread NFL picks, again using the Yahoo Pro Football Pick'em lines: Buccaneers (+1.5) over Rams (picked Thursday): Been a http://www.seahawksofficialnflonline.com/WOMENS_YOUTH_KAM_CHANCELLOR_JERSEY.html while since I've seen a team melt down as bad as the Buccaneers. They were yelling at someone — officials, opponents, themselves — after every play. Maybe they should have put that effort into playing better. Jets (-3) over Cowboys: New York is a good, solid team. The Cowboys just are incapable without Tony Romo.

Beauchemin scores twice as Avs beat Islanders 2-1

DENVER (AP) -- Defenseman Francois Beauchemin http://www.officialhockeyco.com/curtis-joseph-jersey-c-1_161_804.html scored twice, including the tiebreaking goal late in the third period, Semyon Varlamov stopped 33 shots and the Colorado Avalanche beat the New York Islanders 2-1 Thursday night for their fourth straight win. Beauchemin was in the corner when he sent a puck in front of the net that bounced off the skate of Islanders center Mikhail Grabovski and caromed past goaltender Thomas Greiss with 3:48 remaining. Beauchemin also scored in the opening period. After winning three straight on the road, the Avalanche kept it up at home - a place where they've struggled - improving to 5-7-1 at Pepsi Center this season. Varlamov kept up his torrid play, too, earning the victory for a fifth straight start. He's allowed five goals during the streak. Brock Nelson scored a power play goal Dylan Larkin Womens Jersey for the Islanders, who beat Colorado 5-3 in New York on Nov. 30. The Islanders pulled Greiss with around 1:40 remaining for an extra skater, but couldn't get anything past Varlamov. Nelson tied the game with a power play goal at 4:55 of the second period as he sent a wrist shot past a screened Varlamov. A few minutes later, the Islanders caught a break when a puck that was headed into the net hit off the skate of defenseman Calvin de Haan, who was stationed right next to the left post. Beauchemin scored early in the first on a shot from near the blue line that sailed over the right shoulder of Greiss. The defenseman was back on the ice two Henrik Zetterberg Authentic Jersey days after taking a big hit in a win at Chicago. Beauchemin insisted after the morning skate that he was feeling fine. Varlamov was stellar in the opening period as he stopped 14 shots, including one down low from Ryan Strome. Varlamov is returning to the form that made him tough to beat two years ago. NOTES: The Islanders killed off two penalties http://www.officialhockeyco.com/kris-draper-jersey-c-1_161_803.html Thursday and are now 26 for 26 over their last 11 games. ... The Islanders dropped to 10-3-1 against the Western Conference this season. ... The new movie ''Concussion'' centers around football, but Avalanche forward Jarome Iginla said blows to the head remain a delicate topic in hockey circles as well. ''We play a physical, intense game,'' said Iginla, who remains three goals away from 600 for his career. ''Fifteen years ago and the head shots and the penalties that go with those? I think (the league) has moved in a positive direction.''
